Weekend weaving session: 15h - 200€ (plus material costs).
Weekend felting session: 12h - 194€ (plus material costs).
Weekend dyeing session: 12h - 194€ (plus material costs).

Introduction to Hand Loom Weaving

You have always been attracted by the world of fibre arts, you love to create, and you wish to explore the art of weaving at your own rhythm…
This introduction will help you to materialise your dreams: weave with high quality natural fibres; create garments with your own hands; decorate your home with your crafts; make original creations... Anything is possible.

Felting Workshops - Beginners... Intermediate... Advanced

Elisabeth Gellerstedt is a skilled instructor with over 20 years experience in the felting arts. Students will leave her practical, hands-on workshops with completed projects and a wealth of creative ideas for the future.
These classes are excellent for learning basic and specialised techniques for practical garments, art to wear, or just plain fun.

Nybörjare
För Dig som är nybörjare går vi igenom grundläggande ullkunskap. Om Du vill, får Du pröva att klippa ett får med handsax.
Vi använder oss av olika metoder att tova: torrtovning med nål, klassisk tovning med gnuggmetoden och rulltovning.
Enklare metoder att färga naturfärger/syra färger tas upp. Du väljer själv vad Du vill fördjupa Dig i och förhoppningsvis kan Du åka hem med en färdig produkt.
Erfarenhet av Tovning
Vill Du lära Dig mer och har grundläggande kunskaper i tovning, ger vi Dig möjlighet att pröva på att tillverka textilier för inredning t.ex. mattor, nunotovning för klädsömnad , färgning samt en fördjupning i ullhantering.
Plant Dyeing

Learn wool dyeing techniques using, when available:
— Black Walnut-yields blacks to dark-medium browns.
— Blackberry/mulberry yields dark to light purple.
- The leaves can be used for browns and blacks.
- Roots can give orange or greenish colours.
— Brazilwood yields reds/burgundies.
— Dyer's Alkanet yields purples.
— Elderberries yields different colors depending what part you use.
- Berries give bluish/purple colors.
- Leaves may give gold/grren hues.
— Fustic yields golds/browns.
— Goldenrod yields golds/oranges/browns.
— Heather yields golds/browns.
— Henna yields reds/golds.
— Indigo yields blues of many shades.
— Lady's Bedstraw yields yellowish greens/dark greens.
— Logwood yields purples/blacks.
— Madder yields oranges/deep reds/burgundies.
— Mahonia yields yellow/greenish tints.
— Munjeet (madder Family). Yields reds.
— Nettle yields greens/browns.
— Onions yeild gold/orange/browns.
— Persian berries (Buckthorn family) yields bright yellows/golds/oranges/browns.
— Safflower yields yellows/golds.
— A red pigment can be obtained with soda and citirc acid.
— Saffron yields greens/golds.
