Main News In 2008 we now have a total of 6 breeding families of Blekinge ducks, here in Gotland and on the mainland. Djuma's puppies are all well and are settled in good families on the mainland. (June 14th, 2007 Djuma had her first puppies; two females and two males.) Summer 2005 we had 16 Blekinge ducklings. All were healthy and are a significant increase to the endangered Blekinge duck population (88 at last count). See Gotlands Tidningar news report. In addition, we've had 20 Gotland chicks. |
